Gelpro’s Original Marine Collagen is made up of Type I Collagen, which is also what our skin is primarily made up of. Collagen is a crucial component of skin health and may help improve skin elasticity, hydration and overall appearance, including reduced wrinkles and enhanced skin texture.
Marine Collagen may help improve hair thickness and encourage hair growth by helping to repair the dermis and the scalp right where the hair follicle starts. This stimulates inactive hair follicles as well as improves the health of both the follicles and the hair, so it’s stronger and less susceptible to breakage. It also supports healthy nails, by reducing brittleness and increasing strength.
Marine Collagen is useful in supporting gut health, due to its high amino acid content. Amino acids such as glutamine, proline and glycerin can help reduce bloating and inflammation in the body as well as strengthen the digestive tract lining, making Marine Collagen an ideal supplemental collagen for gut and stomach health.
Cellulite occurs when connective tissues become misshapen due to fat pushing through, causing a change in the texture and appearance of the skin. It mostly occurs on the hips, thighs, buttocks, and arms and is more prevalent in women. Marine Collagen can help improve the appearance of cellulite as it strengthens these connective tissues, hydrates and improves the elasticity of the skin from within. Marine Collagen can also be particularly useful for skin healing. Because collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, and is responsible for skin resistance and structure, studies have shown it can help to promote faster skin healing.

We use fish 'skin' exclusively and never use scales or other parts of the fish. The skin contains the highest quality and grade of collagen and our process does not utilise harsh chemicals to extract the collagen. There are no antibiotics, no carbs, no fat, no sugar or preservatives.
One of the key differences in quality of our Marine Original Collagen, is that it does not smell fishy. This collagen is tasteless, unflavoured and has superior dissolvability.
Mix 1 scoop (5g) into 250ml of water or add to your favourite hot or cold beverages or foods. Hot temperature does not denature the collagen.
Add the powder to the already filled liquid beverage and mix or shake. Alternatively, you can add the powder to a dry cup and then add liquid and mix. If the cup is wet in places, the powder will stick to the sides.
We only use skin, not scales or any other part of the fish, which yields a higher quality collagen.
The collagen is broken down into "micro" peptides which enhances the absorption and bioavailability of the collagen. Technically, it reduces the Dalton size which increases your body's ability to absorb the collagen.
Both our Marine and Bovine collagen ingredients are Halal and we are currently going through the process to obtain certification.
